SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts Appoints Edward Chang as Vice President, Investment & Real Estate
Vancouver, BC, September 25, 2024 – SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts (“SilverBirch”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Edward Chang as Vice President, Investment & Real Estate effective September 25th, 2024. In this role, Edward will spearhead the planning and execution of our investment strategy, collaborating with the team on investment analysis and underwriting, portfolio planning, and sourcing market intelligence to support our strategic initiatives.
Mr. Chang brings a wealth of experience in the hospitality sector, having recently run a hotel advisory practice based in London assisting numerous clients on investment and asset management internationally. Prior, Mr. Chang served as Managing Director of Real Estate at American Hotel Income Properties REIT, where he oversaw hotel acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management for a portfolio of 78 hotels. He also spent two years with Sonder in London, focusing on UK and European expansion efforts.
From 2014 to 2018, Mr. Chang was a key member of the SilverBirch team, holding the roles of Director, Investment & Real Estate and Director, Asset Management. Mr. Chang began his career with Goldman Sachs’ US hotel platform. He is a proud graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and is a CFA charterholder.
